Accessibility
Accessibility at Arctic Farms
Arctic Farms is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or screen magnification.
Our standard
We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in the United States and the European Accessibility Act (EAA) in the European Union.
What we’ve done
- Rebuilt our cart experience to be fully keyboard accessible, with proper focus management and screen-reader announcements.
- Added a “Skip to content” link so keyboard users can bypass the header on every page.
- Audited and fixed colour contrast on product pricing, headings, and key calls-to-action.
- Ensured form fields are properly labelled and that interactive controls (accordions, gallery thumbnails, review ratings) expose meaningful information to assistive technology.
- Increased the size of touch targets on key product controls.
- Set the page language so screen readers pronounce content correctly.
Known limitations
We use a small number of third-party tools that we do not directly control. We are aware of the following limitations and have raised them with the relevant vendors where applicable:
- Judge.me reviews widget — the star summary contains a minor accessibility issue we cannot patch directly. The underlying review content is still readable by screen readers.
- Shopify checkout — checkout is hosted by Shopify and styled within the limits Shopify provides. Shopify maintains its own accessibility programme for checkout.
Tell us if something isn’t working
If you run into a barrier on our site, or if there’s something we could do better, please let us know. We take this seriously and will work to resolve issues as quickly as we can.

Subject line: Accessibility feedback
Please include the page you were on, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you were using (if any). We aim to reply within 5 business days.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is not a one-off project. We test the site regularly using both automated tools (axe-core) and manual checks, and we treat accessibility as part of how we ship new features.
